Frequently Asked Questions
1. When looking at the status of my online trades,
what do the order status codes mean?
When you submit your trade through BIAStrade.com, the trade is sent to
BIAS for approval and then on to our clearing firm, Pershing, for execution.
You may track your trade online under the "order status" tab.
Following are definitions for the status codes:
- Pending - Your order has been sent to BIAS and is awaiting approval from a BIAS representative.
- Open - Your order has been approved by BIAS and is now in the routing system at Pershing.
- Partial - Part of your order has been executed and the rest of your order is still "Open".
- Executed - Your entire order has been executed.
**NOTE: At any time in the process you
may see an order status of "cancelled" which means your order
has been cancelled either by you or BIAS or Pershing.
2. How do I cancel an order?
To cancel an order please contact BIAS at (441) 292-4292.
3. My model portfolio has disappeared. Where
is it and how can I get it back?
When you create your own model portfolio you are creating a "cookie"
file which is referenced each time you view your model portfolio. This
"cookie" file is stored on your hard drive. Therefore, you can
only view your model portfolio on the same computer on which you created
it. You may also lose your model portfolio if you do any of the following:
- Change or upgrade your web browser.
- Change or reinstall your operating system (i.e. Microsoft Windows 95, Windows 98, etc.)
4. When I try to login to BIAStrade.com I receive
a message telling me the site's security certificate has expired. What
does this mean?
This error message indicates that your browser is not compatible with
BIAStrade.com. You will need to download the latest version of your browser
from Microsoft’s web site if you use Internet Explorer or Netscape’s
web site if you use Netscape Communicator.
